When You're Almost Home
Traveling in general causes many of us to exhibit certain behaviors. We are suddenly afraid of doorknobs. We might hold our wallets and purses much tighter than normal. We may become more cognizant of people we pass on the street.
Traveling, especially for those of us that don't do it very often, can really put you on edge. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
But, how wonderful is it when you're almost home? This is a photo of my 'almost home' spot; it's a spot I have to drive through on many of my travels.
When I see the smoke off in the distance (it's actually from a power station) I know I'm almost there. I tend to perk up, sit up straight and relax a little when I get to this point.
