The Warm 'Season of Light'
Here in the Northern Hemisphere where I reside, July is the warm 'Season of Light' for me.
December brings the light of Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year's Eve, christmas lights, fireplaces full of tended fires and inside lights that turn on at 4pm when the sun starts to set.
July brings the light of lightning storms, the 4th of July, fireworks, candles on my birthday cake, campfires, flashlights and fireflies .
December is often a month where we deplete ourselves—hopping from end-of-year parties to family festivities to stores to purchase gifts. We shop and we cook and we bake and we eat. We socialize.
Sometimes we exhaust ourselves with a full immersion into the hustle and bustle of December.
In July, we vacation, we swim, we stay outside until dark, we eat, we grill out and we socialize.
Sometimes we exhaust ourselves with a full immersion into the hustle and bustle of July.
May your fires burn bright and your summer light shine long into the night. Have a wonderfully warm 'Season of Light' this July.
